Marijuana is a tall to very tall, rangey herbaceous plant with leaves deeply palmately divided into 3-9 serrate, tapered leaflets. Populations are often well-hidden, so that this species is under-collected. Read more at Vascular Plants of North Carolina.
Hemp is a fast-growing, herbaceous plant that can reach up to 4 meters high. One of the first countries to use it as a hallucinogen was India. Read more at "Magical, Mystical and Medicinal".
