Dig deeper at SERNEC, a consortium of southeastern herbaria.
The inflorescence of Sagittaria chapmanii is a panicle (i.e., is branched) of small 3-petaled white flowers, atop a slender stem rising to about 1 foot tall. The very similar and more widespread S. graminea has the inflorescence unbranched. Learn more at Vascular Plants of North Carolina.
