Flowers greenish-yellow, tubular, w 5 unequal lobes. Sepals w stiff hairs, per Wildflowers of Tennessee, the Ohio Valley, and the Southern Appalachians (Horn, Cathcart, Hemmerly, & Duhl, 2005).
